Customize Subscription Salvage Settings in Your Store
Phoenix lets you customize salvage settings to improve recovery outcomes when a subscriber’s payment fails. By adjusting salvage pricing and timing, you can increase the chances of successfully recovering subscriptions that would otherwise be lost.
Follow these steps to customize salvage settings for a specific store:
-
Log in to your Phoenix Dashboard.
-
In the left navigation panel, click Stores.
-
Click the Edit icon next to the store you want to update.
-
Go to the Subscription Rules tab.
-
Under Decline Salvage, set Subscription Recovery Strategy to Custom.
-
(Optional) Turn on Enable Custom Pricing Per Salvage Retry Attempt if you want each retry attempt to have a different price.
-
Configure the following fields:
-
1st Decline Retry: Select the retry timing (e.g., Friday) and enter the Salvage Attempt 1 Price.
-
2nd Decline Retry: Choose the timing (e.g., 15 days later) and enter the Salvage Attempt 2 Price.
-
3rd Decline Retry: Set the timing (e.g., 30 days later) and enter the Salvage Attempt 3 Price.
-
-
(Optional) Enable Lock Future Subscription to Approved Value if you want future renewals to use the successful salvage price instead of the original subscription price.
-
Click Continue to apply changes.
Your changes are applied immediately, and Phoenix will follow this custom salvage sequence for all future decline recovery attempts in this store.
