How to Set Payment Routing at the Billing Profile Level
Payment Routing controls how Phoenix distributes direct sale transactions and subscription rebills across the payment gateways connected to your store. When your store uses Billing Profile Routing, you configure these settings from the Billing Profile.
Open Payment Routing from the Billing Profile
Follow these steps to open the Payment Routing page directly from the Billing Profile.
-
Click Gateways in the left navigation bar.
-
Select Billing Profile from the menu that appears under Gateways.
-
Find the billing profile you want to configure and click the Edit icon under Actions.
-
Click Payment Routing in the top navigation.
Configure Payment Routing
Complete these steps to configure routing for each gateway connected to this billing profile.
-
Scroll down to find the Payment Routing table.
-
Enter the percentage of direct sale transactions to route to each gateway in the Direct Sale % column. Percentages across all gateways in this column must total
100%. -
Select or clear the checkbox in the Pin Subscribers column for each gateway:
-
Selected: subscribers who complete their initial direct sale on this gateway always rebill through the same gateway.
-
Cleared: subscription rebills for that gateway follow the percentages set in the Subscription % column instead.
-
-
Enter the percentage of unpinned subscription rebills to route to each gateway in the Subscription % column. Percentages across all gateways in this column must total
100%. -
Click Apply Filter to save your changes. Apply Filter functions as the save button for this table, so you must click it after making any routing changes.
WarningIf you make a large increase or decrease to a routing percentage, click Reset Processor Count, located next to Apply Filter at the bottom of the table. Skipping this can cause Phoenix to temporarily push most transactions to a single gateway while it catches up to the new percentages.
