Adding a Shipping Upsell to Checkout

The Shipment Upsell component lets you offer an additional product to customers directly within your checkout. You can add it to any checkout page, assign the product you want to offer, and customize its appearance to match your store.

Access the Checkout Builder​

Follow these steps to open the checkout you want to update.

  1. Click Stores in the left navigation bar.

  2. Select the store you want to configure.

  3. Click the Checkout tab.

  4. Find the checkout you want to update in the list and click the Edit icon in the Actions column.

    If you do not want to modify a checkout that has already been validated in production, click the three-dot (⋮) icon next to the Edit icon and select Duplicate instead.

Add and Configure the Shipment Upsell Component​

Use the following steps to add and configure the Shipment Upsell component.

  1. Click the search field in the Components panel and type shipment upsell.

  2. Drag the Shipment Upsell result from the UPSELL category into the position where you want it to appear in the checkout.

  3. Scroll to Select product for upsell in the right-side configuration panel, open the Products dropdown, and select the product you want to offer.

  4. Customize the remaining settings in the panel as needed, such as Display, Header, Description, and Arrow.

  5. Click Publish to make your changes immediately visible to customers.

    Warning

    If the checkout is already published and is part of the Smart Checkout flow, any published changes become visible to customers immediately. Use Save Draft, located next to Publish, to avoid publishing changes to an active checkout immediately.
